Content and Consent Policy

FaceSwap replaces a face in ordinary video and images. This policy explains what it is for, what it must not be used for, and what happens when someone tries anyway.

Intended use: everyday footage — family video, creative and professional projects, and material you have the right to use. That is what the service is built for and the only use we support.

Upload only faces and content you own or have permission to use.

You must not use FaceSwap to create sexual or intimate imagery of anyone. Uploading sexually explicit or intimate material as the target of a swap is prohibited outright, whoever appears in it and whatever your intent. Creating such material of a real, identifiable person without their explicit consent is prohibited under EU law (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 5(1)(ba), as amended), and creating it of a child is a serious criminal offence everywhere we operate.

Do not use FaceSwap to impersonate, harass, exploit, or mislead people.

Uploads are screened automatically before they can be used, and material that appears sexually explicit is refused. A file we have refused before is examined more thoroughly the next time it is offered, not less.

Refused uploads are recorded against your account. Repeated attempts are reviewed by a person and will result in your account being cancelled without refund, and reported to the authorities where we are required to do so.

Automated screening is imperfect and occasionally refuses something ordinary. If that happens to you, contact us — a wrongly refused upload is a problem we want to hear about, and it is not held against your account.

Retention rules and the reporting process will be finalised before public launch.
