Trust & safety

Built to be trusted with your work.

Face swapping asks a lot of the people who use it: your photographs, the faces of people you care about, and work you intend to publish. This page explains the protections that come with that, and the principles they follow.

Our commitment

Everything you upload is treated as yours — private to your account, kept in Europe, and removed on a schedule you can see. Our aim is that you never have to wonder what happened to a file, what a result will cost, or who could see either.

Key principles

Provenance by design

Every result carries an invisible mark that identifies it as ours. It changes nothing you can see or hear, and it means a finished file can always be traced back to the work that made it.

People make the decisions

Automated systems assist; they do not have the final word. Anything that would affect your account is looked at by a person first.

European by default

The service runs on a server in Germany, your media is stored in EU-resident storage, and the monitoring is EU-hosted. Nothing has to leave to be processed.

You decide what is kept

The file you upload is removed as soon as your job is finished with it. Results stay in your library for two days, fourteen on a paid plan, and ninety for anything you pin.

A platform for ordinary work

Quiet safeguards keep this a place for family video, creative projects and professional work — the things it was built for.

Openness about limits

Where something is not yet in place, this page says so. You should be able to check what we claim rather than take it on trust.

Your media, and who can reach it

Results are private to your account. Nothing is published, nothing is shared, and nothing you upload is used to train models — the models here are pre-trained and fixed, and your work does not change them.

Downloads are served through links that expire, administrator access is entirely separate from customer accounts, and backups are restored and checked every week rather than assumed to work.

Safeguards that stay out of your way

Automatic checks run on upload so that this remains a service for everyday footage. They are deliberately quiet: for ordinary work you will never know they ran.

They are not perfect, and occasionally one will stop something entirely innocent. If that happens it counts for nothing against you, and we would genuinely like to hear about it — those reports are how the checks get better.

If someone misuses your likeness

Anyone can send us a file and ask whether it came from here — no account, no name required. Because every result is marked, we can usually answer that question definitively, which is difficult to do anywhere else.

You get a reference straight away, and if you leave a way to reach you we will tell you what we found and what we did about it.

Report a file

Made for European rules

The transparency mark, the reporting route and the retention windows exist because the EU AI Act, the Digital Services Act and the GDPR ask for them. That work is done, so it is not something you have to think about.

Questions people actually ask

Can anyone else see what I make?

No. Results are private to your account and nothing is ever published. Downloads are served through links that expire, and administrator access is separate from customer accounts.

Is my media used to train your models?

No. The models are pre-trained and fixed. Nothing you upload changes them, and nothing you upload is added to a training set.

What if a check stops something perfectly ordinary?

It happens, because no automatic check is perfect. It counts for nothing against you, and a person will look at it if you ask. Tell us and we will fix the check.

What is the mark on my results, and can people see it?

It is invisible and changes nothing you can see or hear. Its purpose is provenance: it lets a finished file be traced back to the work that produced it, which is what makes it possible to answer someone who asks where a file came from.

Someone sent me a file and I think it shows me. What can you do?

Send it to us and we will check the mark. If it came from here we can say so definitively, and act on it. You do not need an account and you do not have to give your name.

How long do you keep my files?

What you upload goes as soon as the job has finished with it. Results stay in your library for two days on the free tier, fourteen on a paid plan, and ninety for anything you pin.

Where we are today

The service is in a controlled beta and does not yet hold a third-party security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. We would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise: what we can offer instead is the specific behaviour described above, which you are welcome to check.

The Terms of Service and the Content and Consent Policy set out the agreement in full. Terms of Service · Content and Consent Policy

Our promise

We will keep your work private, keep it in Europe, delete it when we said we would, and tell you plainly where we stand — including the parts we have not built yet. If any of that stops being true, this page changes first.
